Sodium hypophosphite is a reducing agent with good stability at room temperature. It typically forms sand-like crystals and is a well-soluble normal salt. It is a common chemical. Sodium hypophosphite readily absorbs moisture in humid air and decomposes at approximately 200°C. It is a key raw material for the production of aluminum hypophosphite, aluminum diethylphosphinate, and calcium hypophosphite flame retardants. Sodium hypophosphite is non-toxic and non-corrosive, and its aqueous solution is neutral. It is primarily exported to Europe, the United States, Japan, Southeast Asia, and other regions. It is a zero-duty product and does not require commodity inspection.

III. Main Applications
1. A raw material for concrete polycarboxylate water reducers. It is more environmentally friendly and convenient to use than sodium hypophosphite, mercaptopropionic acid, and thioglycolic acid, but slightly more expensive.
2. It is a major raw material for the production of flame retardants such as aluminum hypophosphite. With high purity and low levels of heavy metal impurities, the resulting flame retardant is ideal for halogen-free flame retardancy in plastics and resins.
3. Sodium hypophosphite is also a raw material for biopharmaceutical intermediates. Because it contains +1 valence phosphorus, it generates hydroxyl groups in water, which can act as a catalyst and chain linker. 4. In surface treatment industries such as electroless nickel plating, zinc plating, and copper plating, it forms the primary plating solution along with nickel sulfate, nickel chloride, lactic acid, citric acid, and malic acid.
5. It is used abroad for food preservation and antioxidant properties, but is not currently included in my country's food additive catalog.
IV. Packaging, Storage, and Transportation
25kg, 500kg, and 1000kg/bag. Store in a cool, dry warehouse, separate from other chemicals. Transport as standard chemicals.
Sodium hypophosphite is generally only available in industrial grade; it is not available in pharmaceutical, electronic, or reagent grades. The latter three can only be obtained through small-batch purification in the laboratory from industrial grades.
