Potassium peroxymonosulfate is mainly used for disinfection of hospital wastewater, industrial water treatment, and river sewage treatment. It is more environmentally friendly than traditional chlorine dioxide, sodium hypochlorite, and sodium dichloroisocyanurate. Different formulations of potassium peroxymonosulfate result in significant differences in effectiveness. Currently, 30% and 50% effervescent tablets can be used for water quality improvement and sediment oxidation in aquaculture. With a pH of 2-3, it is a weakly acidic but strong oxidizing agent and should not be used simultaneously with lime, tetramethylolphosphine, etc.

I. Potassium Peroxymonosulfate (Tablets)
Main Ingredients: Potassium peroxymonosulfate, synergists, etc.
Functions and Uses: Inhibits the growth and reproduction of harmful microorganisms in aquaculture water; rapidly degrades toxic substances such as ammonia nitrogen, nitrite, and hydrogen sulfide; degrades hepatotoxins and other algal toxins produced by algal death; repairs water with high viscosity, turbidity, hardening, blackening, heating, and foul odor; reduces shrimp mortality from netting and the occurrence of black bottom plates and black gills in crabs; oxidizes and removes toxic and persistent organic pollutants from water, eliminates chlorine residue, activates chlorine, and decomposes carcinogens such as bound chloramines produced by chlorination reactions, preventing their accumulation in animals; detoxifies organic matter in pond bottom mud, transforming bottom organic matter into food for sea cucumbers, shrimp, crabs, loaches, and shellfish, improving habitat and promoting animal growth; reduces heavy metal ions in water through multiple processes such as ion exchange, complexation, and adsorption.
Precautions: Avoid mixing with alkaline or reducing substances. Live bacteria can be used 12 hours after using this product. Swelling of the bag is normal and does not affect the effectiveness.
Scope of Application:Suitable for the entire process of aquaculture, from seedlings to finished products, of sea cucumbers, jellyfish, shellfish, shrimp, crabs, loach, eels, and freshwater and saltwater fish.
Dosage and Administration:Evenly sprinkle throughout the pond. For daily use, use 200-250g/mu/m²; for deteriorated bottom conditions, use 250-300g/mu/m²; repeat the application the following day; for best results, use in conjunction with live bacteria 12 hours after application.

Storage: Keep the container tightly closed and store in a cool, dry, well-ventilated place, away from fire and heat sources.
Shelf Life: 12 months
The formulations of potassium persulfate in aquaculture, hospital wastewater treatment, tap water treatment, and river wastewater treatment are completely different. Different fields require different formulations based on water quality, treatment requirements, and environmental conditions. Therefore, the effectiveness is greatly related to the formulation process. Furthermore, its production process, active oxygen content, stability, and bactericidal mechanism have significant impacts on quality and downstream application effects.
