Aluminum Diethylphosphinate(ADP) flame retardant exhibits excellent temperature resistance and good compatibility with plastics. It is suitable for halogen-free flame retardancy of glass fiber reinforced PBT, PA6, PA66, black, colored, and white TPE wires and cables, polyurethane, etc. ADP can be compounded with melamine polyphosphate (MPP), melamine cyanurate (MCA), aluminum hydroxide, magnesium hydroxide, etc. The formulation, flame retardant type, particle size, surface treatment, and other specifications vary significantly for each material system.

III. Flame Retardant Mechanism
Aluminum Diethylphosphinate (ADP) contains ethyl groups and organic phosphorus. It has good compatibility with polyester, nylon, TPE cables, and other materials, and good resistance to exudation. After decomposition, ADP flame retardant produces phosphate esters that coat the substrate surface and have a certain free radical scavenging effect. It can be compounded with MPP flame retardants and MCA flame retardants to exert a synergistic flame retardant effect of phosphorus and nitrogen. Its high decomposition temperature meets the flame retardant requirements for high-temperature resistant materials.
IV. Product Features
1. Halogen-free, it is an organic flame retardant, free of halogens and phosphate esters. Flame-retardant products meet the standards for export to the EU and the US.
2. ADP flame retardant is available in various particle sizes and types. Different particle sizes can meet the needs of TPE wires, nylon PA, polyester PBT, coatings, and other materials.
3. It can be compounded with various phosphorus and nitrogen flame retardants and inorganic flame retardants to achieve filling and synergistic flame retardant effects.
4. It has good temperature resistance and low water solubility. Its decomposition temperature is above 350°C, and it is almost insoluble in water.
5. It has strong resistance to exudation. When compounded with polyester and nylon flame retardant synergists, it can greatly reduce the phenomenon of flame retardant exudation from the product, improving the flame retardant effect.
V. Application Instructions
1. When compounded with MCA flame retardant and PPO, it can be used for flame retardant treatment of TPE cables, meeting the requirements for low-smoke halogen-free cable products.
2. When compounded with MPP, it can be used for flame retardant treatment of glass fiber nylon PA, significantly improving the oxygen index and achieving a flame retardant rating of V0.
3. Ultrafine aluminum diethylphosphinate (ADP) meets the requirements of polyester coating processes and has good flame retardant properties.
